Richmond had me worried for a bit, our skills weren’t great when they were firing…but they weathered it pretty well and then stomped on the gas. Great effort. Arise, King Max!

Well that was a rollercoaster of a game. Fantastic final quarter, and one that hopefully will push us well into next week against Hawthorn.
Wilkie was fantastic from the get go, Gresham as often impressed me, Long did well as the medical sub when we seemed a bit down, and I think has presented a strong case for getting back in the 22 next week. Also good that Max King scored 4 goals, even when he looked a bit down and out.
Obviously, the second quarter was very disappointing, and more needs to be done to ensure we're there for all four quarters of footy. Also the opening 90 seconds was dismal. But a lot of positives from this game, and hopefully we can use this to go 4-1.

Loved Sinclair and Wood’s game today. Their effort watching live stood out.

It was so great to watch. I'll need rewatch game as it started too early for me and I was listening to the women's world cup.
Now who tf is in control of streaming quality? Watching this game in the UK and the max selectable resolution is fucking 720p, is it 7, the AFL or the streaming site? It's 2022 for the love of fuck.

A great win, looked spotty in patches and some classic real saints footy was shown for a bit (the 30 odd percent kicking efficiency was a real highlight lmao). But we got it together and gave a strong performance across the ground. Thought the whole team pitched in, even Higgins who unfortunately could only play for a little bit before he copped a concussion, will miss next week too the poor bugger.
Overall happy but it doesn't start and end there, a Hawks team who's surprised a lot of people next week. Hoping we can take what we saw here and bring it into the next week. I'd say we were aiming for 3-1 when we saw the fixture, can't see why we can't get that here.
Also as a meta thing, I messaged the mods during the week about a discord server, (there was interest about 2 years ago but nothing eventuated). I've got it up and running and was going to share it before the game but got stuck for time and got ready for the game instead. Gresham absoultely killing it. adding jones to the midfield will add another layer. Exciting stuff

Most impressed I've been with Seb Ross in ages. Skills were still so-so (not the only one mind you), but he gave so many multiple efforts and attacked the ball cleanly and hard for some huge plays. Same with McKenzie - good to see two of the most common fan scapegoats getting some praise. Just need Hill to come along now...
Sincs is in an incredible run of form, his poise with the ball really settled us when Richmond threatened.
Also really glad to see Longy perform, I think there's the Byrnes/Kent spot available to him consistently if he keeps up the pressure. Adds something different with his aggression and skills around goals (I still remember that nice run he had in 2019 as a forward).

Something like 64 unanswered points in the second half of that game, amazing stuff. Great to get a win over Richmond too!

Grimes getting subbed out certainly helped, that was the turning point of the match, but we made the most of it.
Our midfield is certainly lacking a bit of class with players like Clark and Billings out, wins like this are important to get the season rolling until they return.

Oh my God. KAYO have screwed me over watching the song two weeks in a row. I hate these people. The game isn't over until you see them sing.
You have to switch to the pre game of the following game to catch the song! Annoying.
I did that but must have been to slow. Last week I had to listen to for very unfunny men for twenty minutes who kept promising the song. I couldn't handle listening to their drivel anymore so I missed it as well. The only truly funny man on that show left us too early.
I miss the talkback in the car on the drive home. Doesn’t happen now with one game rolling into the next one.
