wowhead.comHe is also the only vendor for cyphers once you have done all research. The caches contain about 390G and reasonably high droprate for transmog weapons. Also some protoform mats. Either motes, a lattice, a glimmer, or a rare mount mat. Looks like where I may finally get a Satisfaction.
On my alts I don't even bother with the research for more than boosting Pocopoc to get maximum energy talents and console augments.

That seems odd. I have bought about 20 and it's always 390-98g. Really consistent and small range.

It was buffed recently. When I got mine I got a whooping 18 silver and 21 motes, really felt that that was a great investment of my time.

Yeah, I find Progenitor Essentia under any rock after the drop rate buff, but my inventory is still filled with protoform synthesis stuff which I can't use because genesis motes are so slow to get.

Yep. I know where it drops but it is pretty low chance unless you are progression raiding (which I am not this time). I do drop a kettle in Haven when I zone. It will come in the months ahead I am sure.

They're a currency for researching permanent Pocopoc upgrades and learning the language of the Automa. You spend them at the research console by Firim to unlock upgrades.
As you progress the research, it will unlock new quests, access to crafted mounts and pets, and increase the ILVL of item rewards in the zone.

But let's be fair for what it was teased like ( You learn the language of the first ones etc.) it is pretty unimportant and just another grind.

If you care about mounts or pets, it's needed to unlock protoform synthesis to get quite a few of those.
If you need gear, they raise the ilvl of the cypher gear significantly.
If you want more story, they unlock questlines through the zone.
Otherwise, they can be exchanged at Olea Manu for a box full of potentially useful stuff and a decent chunk of gold.

the npc is of the jiro race
we have a cypher research, altonian understanding, that says "Allows you to communicate, interact, and quest with Jiro in the Terrace of Formation and Pilgrim's Grace"
the npc is part of a questline that pops up on your map, inside the Terrace of Formation, once you have finished this research
this is not some archaic secret the wow devs hid in the game, it's just logic
do you dislike the exploration part of mmos so much?

Just cause I don't like it doesn't mean you can't.

Need to complete some research and a quest line to unlock but it’s not much work.
It's also bind to account, so it's great for alts.
Hence it requires the Altonian research to be completed.
