Here's a webcomic of how Chrome browses you instead of you browsing it.

I thought the problem we had with Chrome was that it was a bit vanilla? Look, most browsers collect data to maintain your effing systems. And all those that don't really struggle to collect user info. The stuff that they get data for is personalized for you and it's all paranoia based on corporatism

You need to live in the cave, full privacy there
Talking about privacy at a browser level no need to be a nomad.
Nothing you can do, just use and enjoy, give from what you take

It is not about "don't care privacy", it is about "u guys worry to much yet still use their service"

"chrome bad" "muh privacy" if you care so much just don't use internet. Browser is not the only way your data gets collected, you know.
I don't even like chrome nevertheless use it - due to function stuff and not a fan of the UI - but holy moly, this is like the fifth or sixth time today I saw people complaining about how chrome uses them instead of the other way around. We get it, we know the issue - in fact, no browser is "safe and private" - no matter what they say. Your data gets collected in one way or another. Data is data at the end of the day, doesn't matter how tame.
Yeah, Google sucks for collecting data, but which service we use doesn't? And personally, I don't even care that they collect my data. At least makes my life tiny bit easier sometimes and gives me what I want/need.
Chrome is good if chrome didn't exist we wouldn't have chromium brows
Chrome is good if chrome didn't exist we wouldn't have chromium browsers, neither would the modern web be the way it is currently if it wasn't chrome then internet explorer would still continue dominating the web, with proprietary technologies noone could ever dream using.
I posted this here since I found the comic of interest and that's it.

Cute, but where is the proof that it does all that?
And interesting that it's coming from the Microsoft Edge flared user... wouldn't Edge be doing the exact same given that Microsoft have the same interests in Advertising as Google do?
Microsoft unfortunately doesn't have a well established ad network (nothing that I know of). I only use Edge because I have a low-end laptop and for sync purposes I need to have it on my mobile. Otherwise I would have chosen Vivaldi for my go-to browser.
FYI, they do:

Both Edge and Chrome are privacy nightmares, as for the proof, see the Kuketz' series of browser checks.
Good write ups. Somehow Chrome is nowhere near as bad as Edge
