Wow! You’re an awesome person! Thank you so much for taking the time to do all of that to help me out. It means a lot!

I feel bad asking more questions after all of that, but I’m still very new to this and am not familiar with all of the terminology.

When you say 7x7 bed leveling, I don’t know what you mean. I know that my I3MK3S (If I remember all of the letters and numbers correctly) checks the leveling before each print. That and it ran a check after I built it to see if everything was correct and it came back great.

I use the Prusa Slicr software that came with the kit. The only changes I’ve currently ever made to what comes up automatically is to turn on supports everywhere before slicing. I’ll need to check next time I try it to see if I can find those adjustments. But am I right that those are things I do in the prusa slicr (the stuff under settings slicer)?

I do have the alcohol and cloth. That’s one thing I got right :). I went out and bought a huge bottle of the highest proof isopropyl alcohol I could find and then spent way to much money on special lint free cloths that ended up being terrible. An old lint free squeegee cloth I had already works great.

I’m tempted to start over again with the textured plate like you suggested. Your not the first person I’ve heard say it works fine with PLA. In fact, before buying it, I put up a post on the Prusa forums asking if the textured sheet was ok for PLA (the official Prusa documents and their help section says pretty emphatically to never do so) and I’d say you get about a 50/50 split on people swearing by yes you can or no, never do it. It got pretty heated, lol. Like you said though, it has two sides and I think the hopeful pros out way the maybe cons.

And thanks again, I mean it! These last few years can sometimes leave a person thinking that the world is full of hateful people. When I get reminded that there’s still super nice people out there it’s very nice.
