Looking for some reassurance on physical symptoms of MC
After a long few weeks of back and forth hospital appointments and 2 failed doses of misoprostol I finally started to miscarry naturally on 20th March. On the 24th & 25th I passed a lot of big clots, one of which I assumed was the gestational sac due to the size. The bleeding continued with smaller clots until around the 30th, when it began to start slowing down. From then to now (April 5th) I’ve still been bleeding slightly, but a lot lighter and it’s been brown in colour, which I thought was a sign of it ending. I actually went back to work this week as I was feeling better and thought getting out of the house would help me mentally. Whilst at work today I started having stomach cramps and then around half an hour after getting home from work this evening, I started to bleed heavily and bright red. I thought this could be my first period following the MC, as I’ve read it’s quite common for it to happen straight after. But then an hour later I felt a huge gush of blood and ran to the toilet, where I passed a large clot about the size of a lime, almost as big as the one I originally thought was the sac. I’ve been bleeding very heavily since and my stomach is killing me. Could it be my period starting and it’s pushing everything that’s left out, or is it normal for a miscarriage to slow then re-occur? So sorry for the essay and thank you to anyone who has read this far. This is my first miscarriage and I didn’t know where else to go 💔
