Day 2
On day two again. Luckily I’m off work this weekend so I’m hoping that I can power through the majority of the acute symptoms at home before having to return to work on Monday.
Symptoms are: Achey, flu-like, hot and cold/chills, sneezing, and the brain fog is intense. I tried taking a quiz in a class I usually excel in and got a 60% (normally I get 95% on all my quizzes in that class). Of course my addict brain is urging me to quit kratom in a couple weeks when class is done for the semester but honestly I’m ready to go to war with this now and get this shit out of my body! I don’t even like the feeling of kratom anymore, it used to give me an uplift in my mood but it turned into this numbing depression. Sucks because I work full time and go to school full time, and my job takes a lot of mental bandwidth so I have this need to want to feel sharp, and I thought kratom was helpful at first.. until it stopped being helpful lol. I took it because of the energy it gave me and lifting weights felt amazing on it… but I can’t use it anymore, I simply can’t. I’ve tried to quit so many times before and I need to stick to it this time.
I know nobody can answer this question because everybody is different, but how long did the acute withdrawals last for you? I understand the insomnia can kind of linger and PAWS are a thing, but how long did you have those icky flu like symptoms? I’ve quit in the past and noticed after day 3 I returned to baseline minus a little anxiety/insomnia.
