astigmatism with glasses?
Hey everyone, I never had this problem before I change to a new optometrist. After drops to see my eyes better (if holes got bigger), I have been having blurry vision without glasses. I've consulted her and with glasses, for a month, since she said it takes time to get used to, I went back and she said I have astigmatism (cross-eyed or something like that), she said she noticed it during my first eye exam but didnt prescribed me it for who knows what reason...then she told me she will add prism to my lenses to help with my double vision.
Basically, I only see double vision, sometimes even 4 green lights, like on her forehead, it's a bit hard to describe. Red and other lights do seem fine, blue is a bit hard to tell, and when I see cars it isn't bad, like nothing super flashy.
With my new glasses, it is super hard to see far, even from 7-10meters, unlike my old glasses which I can see further than my new ones? (old optometrist left and have no idea where he went).
She said I need to wear these special lenses so it can help me correct, but, i've been wearing them for 4+ months and I still see double-quadruple green lights (quadruple from afar, 10m+, and a bit closer I can see a bit of double green light).
How long does it usually fix itself? Should I be using contact lenses instead of eyeglasses? I only use glasses to drive, otherwise everything I see is blurry, i'm -2.50, both eyes, but upon wearing my new glasses, my left eye definitely got worse, my eyes overall got worse.
Thank you!
I am finding a new optometrist and get my eyes re-check, she ruined my eyes, it is much worse and my double vision appeared after drops to see holes in my eyes. Had extremely blurry eyes for 2 weeks and she said it would go away, but never did.
Note: I actually am not sure if it's astigmatism? Sorry...couldnt change title.
