HELP NEEDED! Please help me determine what Gene is singing on this demo

The demo is 'Man Of A Thousand Faces' on the Destroyer 45th Anniversary Boxset. The part I need help with is at around 0:50 Seconds. He says "Today he..." and then I am not sure what he is saying after.
