Please help - vaginal microbiome ruined after antibiotics
I have been dealing with urinary and vaginal infections for the past year triggered by a ureaplasma infection. I have taken several rounds of antibiotics and tested through MicrogenDX and Juno.
My latest consult with Juno's specialist told me that I have vaginal dysbiosis, most likely from all the antibiotic courses I have taken. She gave me a few natural suggestions to help improve my microbiome, however the problem is I still have long term urinary infections that I have not been able to clear yet.
I am not sure where to start.. is it better to take a break from antibiotics to allow myself to get back to a healthier state? Or should I focus on clearing the infections first?
Also, is it possible that I have some other underlying health issue that is making it so hard for me to get rid of these infections? I feel like I am having a very hard time clearing the infections despite proper testing and self care. If you have any advice on what other types of testing may help me find the cause to my health issues, that would be greatly appreciated.
