I want to customize functions more than Google Home will allow. What's next: IFTTT or Home Assistant?
Been working on my smart home for over a year now with Hue products and miscellaneous smart devices. I just picked up an IR blaster to work with the handful of items in my living room that aren't smart and that's cannot replace (laser projector, volume control for Bluetooth speakers, and so forth). After setting up all that shit in the app, I went to sync it with Google Home and none of the buttons I had programmed except for the power function are available for voice control 🤦♀️
This is just the latest though. I've been feeling like I've outgrown some of the more basic functions of my smarthome and I'm looking to upgrade to something with more functionality, and I don't know where to start. I don't mind putting in some hours to learn the new program and set individual routines and tasks, I just want a more streamlined smarthome experience and Google Home by itself ain't it :/
Edit: IFTTT, Home Assistant, Home Kit... What else are you guys using to upgrade your Google Home experience? Why that program?
Edit edit: are the downvotes because this question is answered already somewhere in an FAQ? What did I do to offend the Google Home community?
