In endurance racing that’s what they are supposed to do….hold the racing line and it’s the faster car that has to pass safely.
They do weave off of the racing line, briefly, in GT7.
My favorite are those one off instances where the AI completely fly off the track and blow a corner. It doesn't happen often but when it does it's catastrophic and hilarious.
