[Request] Update Appster for iOS 14, or other tool for exporting a conversation.
I am trying to save a conversation directly on my phone as a text/notes document. Appster opens, and can locate everything, but the export button does nothing. Anyone know of any alternatives?
Thank you!

I can think of a handful of ways. First, I think iMazing can do it but it's a paid program for Mac/Windows. Second, you could open the conversation in Appster, grab a scrolling screenshot of it (using an app like the indispensable Picsew, from the App Store), and then run it through OCR. Finally -- and I should note that this is super geeky but pretty cool -- you can search the SMS database using a SQL command. I posted about doing it with Filza here, but if you want to export the contents to a text file it's probably better to use a computer along with the follow-up method I posted here. You'll need to grab a copy of DB Browser for SQLite first (there'd a link in that second post) as well as the /var/mobile/Library/SMS/sms.db file off your phone, but then you can open up the sms.db file on your PC using DB Browser and, using the one of the SQL commands I wrote, you can pretty much go nuts (search for numbers, keywords, timeframes, etc etc).
Thank you so much! I’m sure one of these is bound to work!
