I've tried booting Ubuntu from a flash drive and the entire screen was tinted red when the desktop loaded

I tried to boot Ubuntu before installing it to check if everything works before I actually wipe out windows and install Ubuntu. The tint started a couple seconds before the manufacturer logo disappeared, suggesting it to be a graphics issue. My graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce rtx 2060, and my driver's are up to date. I might need to install a linux-nvidia driver, if that's the case I would like a link to a guide.

How should I turn it off? Through Ubuntu itself?

I had that too, I thought it was an issue with my primary monitor being HDR and not having the Nvidia drivers installed. Either way, I installed it and the problem went away.

Installed Ubuntu? Or something else?

I installed from the LiveUSB figuring that it would be easier to debug when it was on-disk, turned out it worked fine once I had installed it anyway, no guarantee that the same approach will work for you, of course.
