What is your favorite coating for trashed paint to mask imperfections?

Do you guys have a favorite wax / glaze that you use to mask imperfections? For example, if you have a car that just doesn't have enough clear left to safely polish that you just want to get to look a little better, albeit temporarily. Are there glazes or coatings out there that temporarily fill light scratches that make them harder to see?

Glazes are the only things for that. And they are made for that.

But they don't last long.. like less than a week or a wash or 2.

Any glaze from any main brand usually will do

Even a simple car wax has much better filling capability than a coating or sealant. A glaze or hand polish are what is designed to fill the most. You could use a hand polish, top that with a glaze, then wax the entire car with a good paste wax that has some sio2 sealants, to get the most filling effect for the longest time. However, it still won't last for much longer than a few washes. Old show cars with original paint cant be polished because the paint is too thin, is where you will see glazes and fillers become heavily used - only needed for a short time, but do a very good job. Not often do I recommend chemical guys products, but they do have some very nice glazes - "Black Light something" is the name of one glaze that really pops dark paint to make it look like it was freshly corrected.

I don’t think a coating is what you would want for this.

Coatings won’t mask the imperfections, they’ll enhance them.
