Is it worth spending $5k in repairs on a car worth around the same?

My car is paid off and has around 100k miles on it. I need to get some repairs done on it that are going to cost around $5-$6k and the value of my car is around the same as well. The repairs aren’t extremely critical but I should get them done soon.

Is it worth spending that money on repairs or should I just trade it in and spend the money towards a new car?
