Itching under the boobs

Question

I have a persistent itch at the top of my belly, just under where my bra is.

Freaking out slightly about cholestasis, only because I don’t have a gallbladder so I feel like it might be easier for bile to build up in my body.

Tell me I’m just paranoid and that itching is normal. 😅😬

It's super likely you're sweating a bit more than usual and your bra line is retaining some of that, causing itchiness.

Idk anything about cholestasis but my under boobs and upper boobs and inner and outer boobs itch all the time from sweating, stretching and my skin generally rejecting pregnancy.

It’s most likely heat rash. I get it pretty bad the farther into pregnancy I get. It’s a combination of heat from your belly and breasts getting trapped and sweat!

I use hydrocortisone on mine after I shower and dry off very well and then I don’t wear a bra to bed to let it air out more. If it gets really really bad I would suggest trying a different bra that is more breathable or even just going braless for a bit to let that area have a bit of a break!

It’s probably this. Bothers me most at work (where I unfortunately have to wear a bra with these new honkers), where our AC also happens to be out. 😅

I do sleep braless and I put some lotion on last night that helped temporarily! But it started itching again as soon as I left for work this morning. 😅

Anyway, thank you. I just needed to hear that other people had experienced the same thing! I’ll go back to being mildly uncomfortable instead of paranoid now haha

Yeah I have the unfortunate pleasure of living in a country where AC is not really a thing so I’m constantly sweating even just sitting in my home. I feel your pain there. Try some hydrocortisone or even a different type of topical cream that’s main purpose is itching and redness and that should help ease it up some!

Oof I can’t imagine.

It’s only in like the 80s right now, so it’s bearable with a fan, but we get up to 100 in the summer so they better fix it soon or imma pass out. 😅

I actually got a yeast infection from my boobs sitting on my belly and there being too much moisture. Looked just like a bumpy rash and itched. Any doc (including OB) can prescribe a cream to clear it up.

It doesn’t look like I have a rash so far, but I’ll keep that in mind! 😬
