Android cloud saves not working?

I've played Civ 6 quite a bit on my computer, but I wanted to give the mobile version a go. Started a game and unlocked the full game on Android tablet, all good, but I can't seem to get cloud saves to work on my Android phone, or get it to recognize my purchase. Both are logged into Google Play account, but not the 2K account (won't even let me on the tablet).

Do cloud saves work with this game, or is the Android port just wonky? I'm not trying to carry saves to different platforms, just staying on Android but different devices. Appreciate any sagely input from other mobile users here, haha.

(Also, sorry if tech support stuff isn't wanted here, just didn't know where else to turn.)
