I was pretty convinced he liked me but now I don’t know
There’s this guy that I really like. We met each other at university, and he’s a nerdy guy, but pretty talkative. We work together at an on campus restaurant. He’s flirted with me at least three times in the past. They’re all comments that aren’t super overt in regards to flirting, but they definitely are.
For example, five days ago, he was checking the amount of money I had in my cash register. When he came back with the money, he told me “you’re perfect”. At first I thought he was talking about the register money, and he probably was, but my friends all told me that he likely was using a double meaning for it; the register is perfect and according to him, I am too.
So I was really confused when last night he posted on Twitter, “one day, I will not be a second choice” with a smiling emoji. I know it doesn’t necessarily mean anything, but I don’t know. I was pretty sure he liked me, but now I don’t know. I’m hoping that maybe he’s talking about something that happened in the past, or maybe even something that’s not even romantic. I mean, he literally said not even a week ago that I was perfect. It’s true that sometimes people flirt with people they’re not into, but what he said is so explicit. I’m just really sad because I like him a lot.
