I interpreted this poem as being about an endless cycle of villain-vanquishing heroes becoming villains themselves by antagonizing those with values originally similar to theirs. As the screenplay is supposedly written by "a madman," the assumption is that you are criticizing the cycle itself. Although this core message is OK, aspects of the poem seem self-contradictory and/or overwrought, raising a lot of questions.

Why the affectation of antiquated language (tis, mayhaps) interspersed with modern slang ("good guys")? This was jarring.
Why is the screenplay only "similar to" a movie when a screenplay is a script written for a movie/film/show? Moreover, you later describe the events of the poem as a "wretched movie" - is it a movie or not?
"Cycle" implies length, yet the screenplay supposedly seems short.
"burning in the of fit rage" - I'm not sure what you meant here.
If both/all parties fall in disgrace, how does one remain as the victor?
"But at what cost is victory

In my personal take on this poem I felt like you did a really impressive job of explaining the whole "victory but at what cost" concept and this line "Our own pitiful destruction" kind of finalizes the fact that everyone is always going to be affected in a significant or insignificant way it doesn't matter.

Good Job though I loved the poem.
