Has anyone gone thru WIOA for cdl school?

I'm in Illinois, I went and applied for WIOA ( Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act ) a federal program that gives out grant for schooling and employment training.

I went there because I am low income, and I want to start trucking because my dad has been trucking for the past 3 years and wants me to join him, however I didn't want to take his money for CDL school unless its the last resort. (4500 for the closest school to me, same school my dad went to )

I went to their orientation a couple weeks ago and did all their paper work and apparently I was accepted and I was assigned a career advisor and tomorrow I have my first meeting with her.

Just posting to see if anyone has gone thru the program, and how long did it take you to actually start attending the school, thank you!

UPDATE

Here is the timeline so far (All is in the year 2022)

April 21st I went to the orientation.

April 26th I took the CASAS Exam.

May 4th I got to meet my career advisor and she gave me the assignments and document list I needed in order to apply for the WIOA grant for CDL (every profession has a different set of requirements/documents).

May 9th I met my advisor for the second time with all my documents completed and she said she would submitting my documents to her supervisor and now it's a waiting game. Although I had everything done basically by may 6ths, it was Friday and she said she didn't have time to see me that day.

Now if I'm lucky I'll get an email today and see if they accepted me or not, but most likely I'll hear from them next week and if all is well I start schooling on the 23rd.

All in all it would be a 33 day process from Oritentation to starting school, so fingers crossed and wish me luck y'all!
