Medical Aid In Dying questions

Has anyone had a family member or someone close to them pursue this? I'm just curious as to how hard it is. Is the hardest part just finding a doctor that will write the prescription? Or are there many other hoops to jump through (I know have to request it 3? times, twice orally and once written)?

Is it a process that can be started before the patients 6 month diagnosis is confirmed?

What's the process like? For the patient, the family, the medical staff?

Thanks in advance.

E: this isn't for me, just looking into it for a family member.
