Mind-bend on the afterlife/lack therof?
Let's aasume there's no afterlife. That after death, there's nothing. Our consciousness ceases to be.
How, then, are we experiencing the now? Like that's obvious- we're conscious, now, and alive.
But if eventually there is nothing, if we die eventually, and there is nothing after death, how, then, are we experiencing the now and not just that void?
If a void of nothingness is where we go after death, how are we experiencing life and remembering our memories, if theoretically we should be in a void with no memories at some point?
Is this making sense? Probably not, lol.
