So how could you do a live action Avatar movie?

Other than that time in 2010 that I almost died from food poisoning and had a fever dream about a live action Avatar movie directed by the guy from Lady in the Water - seriously, never eat pork at Qdoba - I never gave much thought to how a live action version of this show would work until Netflix dropped their news. So if we had to adapt this show as a feature length film, how would it be made in an optimal environment?
