Crunchy leather😂

There are a pair of Lucchese’s at this leather store in my area, Now they are the types to have new old stock boots and want like top dollar retail price for em’. There’s a really nice pair of allmost black boots but when you break them in they have a purple under tone like an ombré. These boots are either in the classics series or Heritage series I believe? and I don’t think this shop ever conditions their boots. When I tried on these boots they were really stiff. Can this be fixed??? When I bent the shaft to try it on I felt it crunch and was seeing if they were salvageable or no. I’m planning on going to the store this weekend to see if they are still there. The last time I went was in November. They prob want $600 or $700 for em if not over $500 at least.

  If I do go, you think I should ask them to condition the boot or is that rude?
