Skipping a period

I've been thinking about getting on birth control again because my periods have been a little unbearable. I've already met with my obgyn and was given the green light to restart usage.

I still haven't started using them but today I got my period and in exactly 2 months from today is my wedding. If I start using birth control now do you think it would be okay to skip the placebo pills for June and try to avoid having my period in July?
