Edward’s Crown

[All Spoilers]

Just finished S5E4 and I noticed something off. Edward’s crown has a bunch of fleur de lis on them. Anyone know why/how that might be? My only guess was it was something the Saxons picked up on the way to England as they went through France.

Example pic of what I’m referring to

I tried doing a tiny bit of Wikipedia research and it seems like the symbol wasn’t really used in the UK until a few centuries later.

Just wondering if someone with more historical knowledge might know why the Wessex king would have that symbol around his crown.

Thanks!
