Can anyone help me with some advise/suggestions for emulators?

I’ve only used addons for movies and shows so far. I used to run emulators on my psps and would love to stretch kodi on my firestick to play games and my kids love anything Mario.

I’d greatly appreciate any help getting started and thanks in advance!
