Is Lilith evil? Good? Affiliated with hell or an independent Goddess?

Hello.

I've been considering working with Lilith, but I've ran into some conflicting information when looking into her. Some worship her alongside Lucifer, as queen of hell, and the biblical evil demon. Others, apparently even including some Wiccans, call her a Goddess and don't seem to acknowledge her evil nature. There are obviously many different myths and stories describing her in many various ways. So, my question is, is there any "right" way to work with her? Do you embrace the Satanic nature of Lilith and surround yourself with inverted pentagrams and upside-down crosses? Do you take a more neutral approach? Does she even care in which way you do it, and would it have any effect on the kind of guidance she offers to you, should she choose to do it?
