I love you, in a loud way

I’d rather have a silent love One that whispers not screams So when it’s over my ears don’t ring And my cuts don’t sting But I’d throw out all the comfort just to hear you say I love you, in a loud way

You are the sweetest thing You are a turtle dove A bird perched on my tree
Don’t fly away, don’t drift astray Say you love me, In a loud way.

I’d rather have you love me like I’m a daughter I’d rather have you say it in bubbles under water So when it’s over we’ll both be clean And my body won’t need to wean But If you drown and sink under waves Please let me know that you love me, in a loud way.

Would i mourn as loud as i loved ? Would you stay my moon, my earth, my liver, my heart, my sun? Or would I try and forget the next day How I loved you in such a loud way?
