Are there any incentives to get to C1 level?

It's difficult to learn the nuances of the English language. My syntax is poor, and my limited knowledge of grammar has been a major hindrance in my writing.

C1 level is often a massive undertaking for English learners and often times require academic precision. While I have taken several English writing classes in the United States, I felt I am still poorly equipped with the knowledge to succeed in English writing.

Due to my paucity of vocabulary, my sentences are stiff and lack the flair often found in a native English speaker's writing.

My daily regimen consists of reading The New York Times, a news website with articles that is rated at the 10th Grade Reading Level. I try to emulate that style of writing because the prose is straightforward and streamlined.
