Do you ever wonder if you're introverted because its your personality or because you lack certain charisma skills and just don't know how to talk to certain people?

I remember when i was young i was kind of extroverted and then when 6th grade came I was super fucking introverted. I did not want to talk to anybody but i was also extremely insecure at the time. I wonder if i went out enough and went out of my comfort zone could i go back to being extroverted or am I just naturally introverted.
