Are Micro ATX Builds Not That Popular Anymore?

Basically what the title says. I’m planning to build my first PC ever using the i5-12400. I’ve been searching around PC builds and lately, I’ve seen more and more atx builds rather than micro atx builds. What I was visioning was I plan on putting my PC on the desk right next to my monitor and speakers, though it may not have enough room for a ATX mid size case.

Do people still actually build micro-atx PCs nowadays? I’ve ordered the Corsair 4000d but it may be to large for my setup that I want. Are there still any good micro atx cases that are smaller and have decent airflow?
