Hero 9 not leaving "Formatting..." screen

I recently purchased three SanDisk Extreme 256 GB microSD cards and all three of them are giving me the "SD ERR" and won't finish formatting when I try to format them. I have a 64GB SanDisk Extreme card that came with the camera and it works great. Any ideas?
