Tourist Looking for Football Match in October

As it states - I’m a North American tourist that will be in the Florence & Rome region in early October 2022. Are there any football matches that will be on? I don’t follow football, but understand it’s part of the European culture and would like to attend. I know it will be close to the World Cup, so not sure if that will have any effect.

Thanks!
