Most efficient type of farm animal feed?

Hello! Trying to figure out what is the most efficient crop to feed my farm animals. Trying to compare in terms of cost, fastest to grow and effect (if any).

Maybe I’m too spoiled by the Stardew Valley wiki, but I’m having trouble finding the information online. I’m relatively early in my game but I have too many sheep and I just unlocked the chicken coup. Trying to address the food before it becomes at problem, so I appreciate you sharing your findings with me.
