Jimmy at the courthouse...
!... and the icy reception he receives there are the consequence of exactly the kind of reputation poisoning that he and Kim are plotting for Howard. Is this karma in fast action? Will experiencing professional hostility and exclusion first-hand provoke a crisis of conscience in Jimmy or otherwise make him regret what they're doing to Howard?!<
!Maybe Jimmy walking back his manipulation campaign against Irene when he felt guilty watching a public shunning the last time he went for the Sandpiper settlement was a foreshadowing to this. We know Jimmy, despite himself, has a high level of empathy for others that can occasionally turn him off his schemes and scams. Can he actually see it through this time?!<
