G3 Instant - Is two-way audio that bad?

Just bought a few of these a couple weeks ago. The audio delay and half duplex operation is really bad. Do I have something set up incorrectly, or is this common?

I had some Eufy indoor cameras before and they worked much better than this (though the system wasn’t great.)
