Poll: would you rather
I’m curious how people would pick, as we come from varying backgrounds of assistant roles, ages, relationships, etc. Let’s assume all standard benefits included (health, vision, dental, 401k). Tried to come up with some pros/cons to the different roles.
-
$250k, PA to multimillionaire that can be neurotic, long hours, maintain home and work schedules, local travel only, tedious errands. On call 24/7, if you travel you must always be reachable.
-
$120k, constant (global) travel, EA/PA hybrid, can rotate travel schedule with other members on team (another EA/PA), availability demand 24/7, but have vacation time
-
$100k remote, must work coast hours opposite from where you live, supporting multiple execs with the chance of accruing more with no additional pay. Vacation time is great, get to unplug as you have a backup for when you need to be out
-
$75k EA/PA to Celebrity, long hours, lots of freebies, schmoozing, constant errand runs for ridiculous wishes. Get to expand social and work circles, eventually leading to a better offer than current role
