is it just me, or do giants seem smaller than they used to?

So i used to play skyrim when i was younger, i think around 2012-2014(i might have gotten this wrong as it was years ago), but i remember giants to be, well, giants. I remember them being huge! And that they could kill you in a single hit, and send you flying, am i wrong? Have giants always been the same size?
