Solar cheaper suddenly or installers desperate for work?
I recently went through the deciding who to work with for solar, I'm in BC, Canada. I did the standard thing and obtained several quotes and spoke with multiple companies. I eventually settled on one that I felt had a fair price, good reputation and I liked the guy who was offering the service. I also have the same company upgrading my electrical service for what I feel is a fair price.
Since signing the contract and paying deposits I've had two of the other companies repeatedly call and email me to offer a better deal than what they'd originally quoted (which was on the high side for my area).
The system I went with is 9.72 kw, 27 trina 360 watt panels, solaredge 7600 inverter, and all black brackets and was $21,000 Canadian plus tax but not including the $5,000 federal grant.
Are these guys just desperate for work or did prices suddenly come down?
