Question for those informed about GHG impact of vegan products.

Advice

Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹

I was just thinking about the GHG impacts of the food industry, and whether this addition of new vegan markets/products/services are increasing the sum total GHG.

Does collective choice to go for vegan products reduce the production output of non-vegan products? Or will non-vegan markets continually market, advertise etc to successfully meet yearly quotas?

Does adding new vegan products (and services) into the existing food industry actually ADD to the GHG output for the food industry in the short term?

Or is this mostly about medium- to long-term transition?

Thanks.
