Capital Bike Share stolen in front of me.
I was holding the bike the entire time. My Kid and I were walking to dock it, so we could enjoy the weather by walking back to the house. My kid was having troubles to put his backpack on and I let go of it for 20 seconds, guy walked took it and left, I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t want to chase him because I had my kid with me and I was just standing there in disbelief. I called the customer service and filed a police report… I have been reading and I can be charged $1,200 for it. Is there something that can be done to lower this payment? It’s our month of rent! 😭
Edit: Bike has not been returned, but the representatives from Lyft, who’re the ones who manage CaBi have been very helpful, kind, understanding and very humane with their way to handle the situation. ❤️
