Contacts Bright Vs Low Light

I was prescribed soft contacts for my bad eye. In bright light it provides significant improvement by eliminating ghosting. In low light, the vision actually seems worse than no contact at all. Everything looks blurry. Is this normal? How do you deal with transitioning between light and dark spaces throughout the day?
