I think Uncharted is inspired by John Woo and I think they should go further with it

The "Shoot-Guys-and-Dodge-Bullets-In-Slow-Motion" genre of shooters has been pretty dead for about a decade, I can't really name any notable ones that have come out since Max Payne 3. I think Naughty Dog would be the perfect developer to make a new game in this genre.

I see a lot of Hong Kong action in Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy. Even though there's no slow-motion bullet time or pumping your enemies full of lead in the middle of a dive, the way Nathan Drake is able to jump, slide, and swing all while shooting feels very John Woo to me. Even the animations themselves, I could easily see Chow Yun Fat moving the same way Nathan does. Furthermore, the destructible environments, insane set pieces, the way every bullet just barely whizzes past Nathan—please tell me I'm not the only one that sees it... Anyway, I think it would be cool if they went further with this, and made a directly inspired John Woo game, perhaps under a entirely new IP. I think a spiritual successor to Max Payne or even Stranglehold with the detail and polish Naughty Dog is known for would be amazing.
