Ranking the Ghostface reveals
This is ranking the reveals itself, not the shock factor or anything like that, just the reveal (Ex. Amber’s set up leading to the headshot and “welcome to act 3” line)
-
Mrs. Loomis: I love the fakeout with Gale, it just doesn’t make sense how long there is between when Gale comes out and she comes out, like isn’t she taking her hostage?
-
Jill Roberts: It’s just a simple stab and reveal, not much to talk about
-
Stu Macher: It’s actually just a regular reveal. What makes it good is the surprise factor but looking at it without that it’s just a basic one. Although I like how he looked concerned, then looks at her and said “Surprise Sidney”
-
Mickey Altieri: It’s the same as Jill but without the stab, i put it over here for a few reasons: I like the “History Repeats Itself” and he has the most menacing “Surprise Sidney” out of anyone who does it. Plus he’s technically the first to do the whole unmask reveal.
-
Roman Bridger: another unmasking, but this one is helped and hurt by two things, (if I count it in his reveal) his monologue was the best one ever in a scream movie, but he was a nothing character.
-
Amber Freeman: I love the (lowkey) call back to scream 1 with a gunshot reveal, I just wish I was more attached to her before that happened
-
Billy Loomis: I know Amber’s gunshot is more liked, but I love the set up of Randy talking about Stu and then Billy turns and says that great Psycho line and shoots him.
-
Richie Kirsch: In my opinion, has the best reveal lines ever, also the fake hobble down the stairs was great, just an overall great reveal for a great character
-
Charlie Walker: Nothing beats the call back to Steve and Casey. I love the call part and just how intense it was, and then she goes to untie him and gets a knife to the gut. Literally perfect to me
