Significant difference in quotes for lawn irrigation
So I bought a new construction home at the end of 2021. Prior it to being completed I had a company go by and quote installing sprinklers. I had him do some hard scape work for me previously Which I was happy with. As it was an active construction site he was only able to view the property from the road and gave me an estimated quote of $5k. Today I had a different guy come out on site and quote the job and it came out to $1250. Install back flow. Timer. Rain sensor. All materials and labor included. And he’s insured. I understand the first guy made assumptions based on what he could see but could there be that much of a difference in quotes? Is $1250 reasonable to install sprinklers on a <.25 acre lot with a 3200 sq foot house on it in the northeast USA?
