Is it worth paying $600 for a round trip to California when the trip will be at most 3 days?

My friends are planning to go to LA from Florida in like 2 weeks during the weekend. I didn't have the time or resources at the time when they first planned a trip back in March so they bought their tickets for much cheaper. Would it just be ripoff to pay much more than them and only stay for 3 days? Oh and this all before the other costs for the trip like hotel and car rental that we're splitting.
