Convince me to stick with CCwGTV...

I used the original Chromecast for years. On every tv in the house. I loved it at the time. Then we were convinced a year or two ago to switch to Firesticks. They were great. We sideloaded extra apps on, and they worked perfectly. My friend recently convinced me to replace a broken firestick with a CCwGTV since everything else in our house is Google. And I'm not sold. The lack of seperate profiles is terrible in a house with a family of 5. Sideloading apps is/was a pain in the ass. I even had to jump through hoops to enable developer options. The picture is cropped, worse in some apps more so than others, and no it's not my tv settings or the app settings, I've been fighting with it and searching for weeks. And to top it off, it's not a Chromecast. If I'm watching a video, like a trailer, that I want to share, I can't cast it, I have to go to the appropriate app and search out the video to share. And it's more expensive than a firestick, which seems far more user friendly.

Now my problem is, I bought one for my mom for Mother's Day to replace their broken firestick. And now I'm really thinking I should just return it and buy a firestick rather than subject them to this.

So....please tell me I'm wrong. Tell me I'm an idiot and I'm just missing something. What makes the CCwGTV worth the extra money?!
