How do you study engineering courses?

I am currently studying Mechanics of Materials. I am confused on what is the best way to study and go about it. The resources that I can use to study is the textbook, lectures, and short videos explaining the topics like the channel (The Efficient Engineer) or (Engineer4Free).

My question is how should I go about it. Should I review the textbook first and then watch the lecture. Should I watch the short videos before the lecture or after the lecture. What is the best way to study this using all of these resources.
