Lenovo Legion 7 Slim Power Modes issue
tldr; Laptop needs to be re-plugged in to charger to actually get performance mode to work correctly.
Howdy. Got a Legion 7 Slim last year around August. After troubleshooting and fixing some small issues I had with the laptop out of box (Killer control center....), I've really enjoyed using this machine for a bunch of stuff, work and gaming especially.
My question is about an issue I have with the power modes. When I go to game, I plug in the laptop and use the keyboard hotkeys to enable Legion Performance Mode. It turns the power button red. I am aware this can only be done when plugged in to the 230W charger supplied with the laptop. But almost every time without fail, the laptop gets around 10 FPS or less in any intense game, some games that even aren't that intensive. Originally I had to turn the laptop on and off again to fix this. Later I figured out that if you unplug the charger and plug it back in, the laptop kicks into overdrive and the game runs perfectly, FPS that maxes out the monitor I'm playing on or higher. Does anybody know what this could be, or a solution? Not a huge deal but it's kind of a bummer having to plug the laptop in multiple times when I want to play a game. Seems like maybe the laptop doesn't recognize that the charger is connected or something along those lines.

Problem happens often, and almost always when the laptop has been sleeping/hibernating connected to the charger, or after being plugged in at the beginning of the day, though also happens in other scenarios often that seem unrelated
Tested on external monitor using USB-C to HDMI
Also have a USB hub with many devices connected when this problem happens (6+ devices USB-C hub)
(Not saying any of these things are related, just thought I'd provide as much information as possible.)
